Long Island
Shore

Long Island is more than a name — it is a stretch of history shaped by the Atlantic. From the rugged coastal edges where fishermen once brought in the day's freshest catch, to the polished estates of the Hamptons, where dining became an art of elegance and gathering.

Its identity was formed by early settlers, maritime traders, farmers, and generations of immigrants who carried their recipes, traditions, and flavors from Europe and beyond into New York's expanding culinary landscape — a legacy of diversity, flavor, and refinement.

Where Every Gathering
Becomes a Memory

Born from a Love of the Table

Long Island Kitchen & Bakery was born from a love for the warmth of the New York sun and the timeless ritual of gathering around a table. Inspired by coastal mornings, artisan bakeries, and the spirit of shared meals — our story begins with the simple belief that food is meant to be experienced together.

By Day, By Night

By day, the restaurant glows with contemporary Roman elegance — light-filled, refined, and inviting. By night, the lounge transforms into a lively sanctuary where friends gather over exquisite dishes, signature cocktails, and the rich aroma of premium coffee.

A Fusion of Cultures

As an American international fusion destination, we blend the vibrant soul of Italy with bold global influences — French finesse, Mediterranean warmth, Levant flavours — crafting a cuisine that surprises, delights, and evolves with every season.

Jack & Rose — 1796

A love story written by the sea. The legend behind the name that now lights the shores of Dubai.

The Man Who Arrived with the Tide

Rose was the daughter of the Long Island lighthouse keeper, a man who had guided a thousand ships safely to shore. She spent her mornings watching the Atlantic, her evenings lighting the great lamp that swept the dark in slow gold arcs. She had never expected the sea to bring her anything she could keep.

Jack arrived on a merchant schooner carrying silk from Marseille and spices from the Levant. He had the horizon in his eyes and the sea in his blood. They met at the water's edge, she was bringing her father's supper, he was mending a rope frayed by weeks at sea. By candlelight that evening, the world beyond the cove ceased to exist.

November · 1796

The Promise of Six Months

He was meant to stay a week. He stayed a season.

When November arrived with its cold Atlantic breath, Jack set sail once more, this time with a brass compass pressed into Rose's hands. "Six months," he said, standing at the bow as the ship pulled away from the shore. "When you see the lighthouse burn gold at winter's end, that is my signal. I am coming home."

1797 — 1799

Four Years of Golden Nights

Six months became a year. A year became two, then three, then four. Rumors drifted in with the fishing boats, storms off Cape Hatteras, ships lost in the North Atlantic. The village stopped saying his name in front of her. Her father never spoke it at all.

But every night, Rose climbed the lighthouse tower herself and lit the lamp, not for the ships that sailed past, but for the one that didn't. The beam swept the dark water in long arcs of gold. Find your way home, Jack. I am still here.

September · 1800

The Ship on the Horizon

On a fog-thick September morning, a battered three-masted schooner appeared along the shoreline, its sails torn, its hull scarred by time and weather. A figure stood at the bow. Impossibly familiar.

He had survived a wreck off Newfoundland, two years of recovery in a port town in Nova Scotia, and three more years of working his passage south. He had lost his ship, his cargo, and nearly his life. But in his coat pocket, still ticking: the brass compass. Still pointing home.

Long Island Kitchen & Bakery is named for the place where that story lives on, where the lighthouse still burns, where every table is a home, and where those who have been separated by time and sea can always find their way back to each other.

Come home. The table is set. The light is on.
